We are delighted to have been chosen as Charity of the Year for Humberts Estate AgentsJane Grant, Canine Partners
We are proud to announce our official partnership with Canine Partners, a national charity that transforms the lives of people with physical disabilities - pledging £7,500 in our first year!
Throughout the next year staff will be participating in a range of fundraising activities beginning with ‘The Great Humberts Cycle’, a launch event that will see offices mounting their static bikes and pedalling a total of 1,215 miles, the combined distance between all 21 branches. This event will take place on Saturday 17th September with real Canine partner puppies and owners on hand for a meet and great with members of the public.
Canine Partners receive no government funding and rely solely on donations from the public and legacies. Their Community Engagement Manager, Jane Grant says: “We are delighted to have been chosen as Charity of the Year for Humberts Estate Agents. We know that Humberts’ staff are dedicated to supporting charitable causes and engaging with the local community and we’re looking forward to working with them over the coming year. We wish them all the best for their first fundraising event, a static bike ride.”
As part of the fundraising activities Humberts will be sponsoring their very own puppy aptly named Humbert and will be supporting him throughout his journey to become a fully-fledged Canine Partner. Approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK own a dog according to PMFA and more than 7,000 people need dogs for assistance. Ian Westerling, Managing Director of Humberts comments: ““Over the years, our staff have raised thousands of pounds for various charities across the UK so I am delighted that we will now have the opportunity to collectively fund raise for this charity. Every pound we can raise will help Canine Partners positively improve somebody’s quality of life and we are delighted to be involved with such a worthwhile cause”
