Two of Humberts Canterbury’s team have been shortlisted in the Estate Agency of the Year Awards in association with The Sunday Times and The Times. Martin Jordan, Director at Humberts Canterbury, has been shortlisted in the Best Manager category and Samantha Golesworthy, a Senior Negotiator, has been shortlisted for Best Negotiator. Both have been shortlisted from nationwide entries to a shortlist of just six in each category.
Martin Jordan has been managing the Humberts Canterbury office for nearly 10 years and joined the business in 2000. Most of his 33 years of experience have been spent in Canterbury, with spells in Maidstone and London. His approach to estate agency focuses on honesty and integrity, as well as operating a happy office with a democratic team mentality.
Martin is thrilled to have been shortlisted: “I am honoured to have made the shortlist at one of the most prestigious award ceremonies in the industry. I pride myself on being open and honest with my clients and my team and treat people as I would like to be treated myself. I’m delighted the judges have seen the value of this approach.”
Samantha Golesworthy has been with Humberts Canterbury for two years, after joining as a negotiator with no prior experience of residential sales. Her hard work paid off and she was quickly promoted to Senior Negotiator after just six months. Samantha is a committed and hard working negotiator who has shown great maturity and diplomacy in her current role. This year, she was named Top Selling Negotiator in the residential sales division at Humberts.
Samantha spoke of her pride at being shortlisted: “It’s still sinking in that I have made the final six of a national award ceremony! I really can’t believe it but am both delighted and proud. I work really hard to do my job to the best of my ability and provide outstanding customer service at all times to my clients. Recognition from industry professionals is the icing on the cake for me this year!
Martin and Samantha will undergo a phone interview with a judge from the panel later this month and they will find out the final results at an awards ceremony in London on Friday 4 December 2015.
