280,000 people left London in 2015Leaving London Report
We’re thrilled to be hosting our second Country Homes Exhibition in September to capitalise on the increased demand coming from London! We'll be showcasing the best the countryside has to offer, specifically target Londoners who are interested in finding out more about buying a property in the country.
According to our recent research there are more Londoners moving out of the Capital than ever before. A report issued by Resi Analytics for Humberts, which analyses the newly released data from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) reveals that more than 280,000 people left London in 2015, an increase of three per cent on 2014. Capitalising on the increased demand from London buyers for properties located beyond the M25, Humberts’ Country Homes Exhibition will focus on the Residential, Rural, Commercial, Leisure and Mortgage sectors and will specifically target Londoners who are interested in finding out more about buying a property in the country.
According to the classifications from the ONS*, the majority of movers in the 20-29 age group make their way to ‘Business and Education Centres’ whilst those in the 30-39 age group head to ‘Prosperous England’. Other popular destinations are classified by the ONS as ‘Surburban Traits’, ‘English and Welsh Countryside and ‘Coast and Heritage’.
