On the 17th September, staff from Humberts cycled a total of 1,215 miles for our Charity of choice, Canine Partners. 1,215 miles was chosen as the target as it is the total distance across the business’s 21 branch network. Employees at each branch pedalled on static bikes within their offices to build their total mileage.
Ian Westerling Managing Director of Humberts says; “We’re so proud of all our staff who took part in this gruelling ride – it was a huge team effort and we were delighted to reach the 1,215 mile target. The overall amount raised was £2,538.53 – a huge achievement for a worthy charity.”
Canine Partners is a national charity that improves the lives of those with disabilities. Humberts have pledged to raise a total of £7500 over their first year to help sustain the life changing programme of partnering assistance dogs, who provide security, companionship, and practical help, with those who need it most.
