About the property

Property
This semi-detached bungalow was built, we understand, in the 1960s and is constructed of brick under a tiled roof. The property is partly double glazed and may benefit from some updating and redecoration. A spacious entrance hall leads to the sitting room which has a gas fire and enjoys views over the roof tops to the countryside beyond. There is a family bathroom and three bedrooms, one of which has French windows leading to the garden. The kitchen has a range of wall and base units and has plumbing for a washing machine.

Garden and Grounds
The bungalow is approached up a few steps which are set into a grassy bank. On the ground floor is an integrated single garage and off road parking for one vehicle. There is side access to the rear garden where there is a patio and steps leading to a delightful lawned garden. There are wonderful far reaching views from the top of the garden.

Surrounding area and communications
Aldbourne is a sought after and most appealing downland village, situated amidst surrounding unspoilt farmland. It is a traditional village with a Square and village green. Local shops include a Co-operative for day to day needs, a couple of pubs, a post office, a café, community centre, a primary school and a thriving community with many local and wide-ranging activities. The larger market towns of Marlborough and Hungerford are approximately 8 miles equidistant. Swindon is approximately 7 miles distant with main line railway service to London Paddington about an hour. Alternative rail services are also available from Hungerford. M4 motorway access to west and east is excellent with Junction 15 approximately 7 miles and Junction 14, 10 miles.

Directions
From Marlborough proceed out of the town on the A345 towards Swindon. Turn left to the village of Ogbourne St. George and then continue to Aldbourne. On arriving in the village turn right at the Post Office onto the B4192 and then turn left by the thatched bus shelter signposted Baydon. Take the first left passed the Co-operative into Lottage Road and then right into Kandahar. Number 11 is situated on the right hand side.
