Access to the house is via a porch which is a useful space for coats and boots. All the downstairs rooms have stone
flooring. The cosy sitting room to the front of the cottage
has a dual fuel burner with French doors leading to an
outside seating area. The farmhouse kitchen is an impressive space with an excellent range of fitted units providing plenty of storage and working surface, a double oven and hob and a double Butler sink. There is oodles of space for a large table for entertaining and a comfortable seating to relax in.
Upstairs there are three double bedrooms and a family
bathroom with a shower and separate bath. The front double bedroom has dual aspect windows with stunning views across the valley.
Grounds & Gardens
There is a five bar gate to the long gravelled drive with
parking spaces. There are large gardens with level lawns. To the front is a patio area for al fresco dining. In front of the cottage is a raised large lawned area which sweeps round to the rear of the property.
Spirthill is a small hamlet nestling in the hills of the Avon
valley. The nearby market towns of Chippenham, Calne and
Royal Wotton Bassett provide a good range of shopping
facilities and amenities, including primary and secondary
schools, libraries and leisure centres. Calne is also home to
the highly regarded St Mary's School. Chippenham has a
mainline station (Paddington is about 75 minutes). The M4
motorway junctions 16 and 17 provide fast road access to
the major employment centres of Swindon, Bath and Bristol
together with London and the West Country.
