Cawleys Farm is a particularly attractive detached Grade II Listed cottage which is traditionally built principally of local stone with part rendered and colour washed exterior elevations under a roof that is primarily thatched (with corrugated and flat roof extensions). Cawleys Farm is situated at the head of a driveway, set well back off the small country lane within the tiny scattered hamlet of Shorebottom. This in turn is located amongst some of East Devon's most attractive countryside within the Blackdown Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This location is a haven for wildlife, flora and fauna although Cawleys Farm has the countryside on its doorstep, it is only a few miles from the highly desirable villages of Stockland and Dalwood.
Stockland has a thriving village community with the Parish Church of St Michael and All Angels, Primary School and village hall and Dalwood also offers a popular public house and community run shop.
The busy market town of Honiton, with mainline rail link to London Waterloo is some 6 miles away. Exeter the County Town, is approximately 22 miles to the west with an excellent shopping centre, theatres, sport and leisure facilities, and international airport.
Taunton with M5 access and a rail link to London Paddington, is about 17 miles distant. Colyton Grammar School, one of England's top co-educational state schools, is some 10 miles to the south west. The World Heritage Jurassic Coast at Lyme Bay is about 11 miles away.
