The Roman Fort
In AD 577 the Saxon army used the fort as a camp before the Battle of Dyrham. The fort is enclosed on three sides by two parallel earthworks and is open to the west commanding an impressive view of the Frome Valley Severn Vale on the welsh mountains. The earthworks provide useful shelter for out wintered stock.
The total farmable area is approximately 30 acres in addition to which there is 3.5 acres of mature woodland at the southern extremity of the property.
