Jubilo is situated in the heart of the pretty village of Hawkchurch where delightful walks can be enjoyed in the surrounding countryside. The property fronts the War Memorial in the centre of this popular village with its pub (The Old Inn), St John the Baptist church, primary school and small community-run shop.
The property is situated about 6 miles from the market town of Axminster with its range of shops, schools, leisure centre, swimming pool and mainline rail link to London (Waterloo). The picturesque World Heritage Coastal resort of Lyme Regis lies approximately 7 miles to the south.
Taunton, the county town of Somerset, with its good range of shops, cricket ground and M5 access, together with mainline rail link to London (Paddington) lies approximately 24 miles away.
The renowned Colyton Grammar School is about 10 miles distant and the A35 is about 4 miles away giving fast access to Bridport to the East and Honiton/Exeter to the West.
Jubilo is an exceptionally well presented bungalow which was built, we believe c.1976, and has been the subject of a
comprehensive schedule of works by our vendors over the past 10 years of their occupation. It has been thoughtfully remodelled to include a dual aspect sitting room offering far-reaching views to the West and an attractive fireplace, a beautifully-fitted kitchen/breakfast room leading around to a more formal dining space with doors to the rear patio and garden. From the dining space is a good-sized utility room with doors to the garden, integral garage and a shower room with WC. The property also has the benefit of two double bedrooms, both with fitted wardrobes and a very well appointed bathroom with large quadrant shower and separate bath. There is good storage space at the property with three cupboards including an airing cupboard to the entrance hall.
The property is set back from the lane with a lawned front garden and driveway leading to the garage and covered porch.
To the rear, and accessible via a pedestrian gate to the side of the property, is a South-facing garden which is quite level and mainly laid to lawn with surrounding flower borders and a patio adjacent to the property. The garden has the benefit of a Summer house and a particularly delightful outlook to the rear over neighbouring farmland.
From Honiton proceed on the A35 through the villages of Wilmington and Kilmington, turning left at the Hunters Lodge Public House which is signposted to Crewkerne.
Follow this road for approximately 2 miles, turning left signposted Hunters Moon and Hawkchurch 1 ½ miles. At the cross roads turn left and continue into Hawkchurch
passing the village school and Church. When you reach the War memorial, Jubilo will be found opposite on the left-hand side.
