A well presented 4 bedroom barn conversion in a country location just outside the popular village of Buckerell.
Clock House is a handsome terraced barn conversion which is of traditional construction with mellow brick exterior elevations under a slated roof. The accommodation is well presented and has a delightful blend of both character and modern features. Worthy of particular mention is the large sitting room which opens into the dining area and this has French doors leading onto the paved courtyard. The kitchen is also worthy of note and is well fitted and has plenty of room for a breakfast area. To the first floor the bedrooms are light and part-vaulted with exposed timbers and there is also a good sized first floor galleried landing with Velux window. Clock House benefits from under-floor heating to both the ground and first floor, gas (bottled) central heating and timber double glazed windows. The property also benefits from a further room to the other side of the courtyard which has a variety of uses and is currently used as a games room. This has power and water.
To the rear of the property is a paved and walled courtyard garden and there is also parking for several vehicles.
Clock House is situated in a small development of similar converted barns on the fringes of the village of Buckerell, which in turn nestles amongst some of East Devons most picturesque rolling countryside. Buckerell is a small village with a pretty parish church and village hall and is situated approximately 2 miles away from the larger village of Feniton, which has a village shop, post office and main line rail link to London Waterloo. About 3 miles to the east is the busy market town of Honiton which has a good range of shops and facilities. These include many independent retailers, as well as the normal multiples such as Smiths, Boots, Tesco, and sports and leisure facilities (sports centre/swimming pool) and main line rail link to London Waterloo. Exeter, the County town, lies approximately 18 miles to the west and has an excellent shopping centre, theatres, cinemas, sports and leisure facilities, main line rail link to London Paddington, M5 access and international airport. The World Heritage Jurassic Coast at Sidmouth, one of East Devons premier coastal resort, is some 13 miles to the south.
From Honiton proceed in a westerly direction turning left into Heathpark and following the signs to Buckerell and Weston. Carry on past the Otter Inn and turn first left. Proceed along this lane for approximately ¾ of a mile where the driveway to Deer Park Farm will be found on the left hand side. If you take the second driveway into Deer Park Farm, the parking for Clock House will be found on your right hand side.
There are several covenants on Clock House such as restrictions on pets and letting the property for holiday purposes. Please contact the office for further information.
