About the property

PROPERTY
Rose Cottage is an exceptionally attractive detached three bedroom cottage, set in a rural location and with glorious valley views to the front. Inside, the property has a number of charming period features, including brick fireplaces, stripped pine doors and painted brick and flint walls. There is a recently refurbished kitchen and modern bathroom. Outside, the main garden lies to the rear of the property, being terraced, allowing far reaching views to the valley beyond. To the front, there is a large gravelled parking and turning area, along with garaging for three vehicles. As well as a summerhouse, cedar wood greenhouse, workshop with tiled roof and shed.

The property sits within the Parish of Kingston. Both the villages of Kingston and Bishopsbourne have public houses and churches, whilst the well served village of Bridge offers a doctors surgery, convenience store, butcher, chemist, primary school and public houses, two of which offer restaurants. The Cathedral City of Canterbury lies a short distance to the north east and has extensive amenities, together with a superb choice of schools in both the public and private sectors, including (Junior King’s at Milner Court, Surry), King’s, St Edmund’s, Kent College and Simon Langton boys and girls grammar schools. Canterbury West station provides HSR services to London (St Pancras 53 mins).

DIRECTIONS
From the centre of Canterbury, take the A2 towards Dover. On joining the A2 dual carriageway, by-pass Bridge and take the next slip road, signposted to Barham and Bishopsbourne. Turn right onto Coldharbour Lane and then left at the staggered crossroads. Continue down the hill on to Bonny Bush Hill and where the road bears sharp right besides the Black Robin public house, continue straight across into Covet Lane. After about 1.5 miles Rose Cottage will be found on the right hand side, being identified by our ‘For Sale’ board.
