The White House is a fine example of a 17th century thatch cottage that benefits from an award winning contemporary extension to the main home and a bespoke designed annex complementing the existing property. The cottage is Grade II listed and sits in gardens and grounds approaching one acre on the fringes of Nettleton village. The main house is arranged over two floors and boasts a wealth of period features to include open fireplaces, exposed beams, stone walls and wooden floors. The cottage also benefits from two contemporary extensions in the form of a kitchen/diner with bespoke fitted cupboards and direct access to the rear terrace ideal for al fresco dining, as well as a bathroom, utility area and bedroom 4 in the other part of the extension adding valuable living space to the existing ground floor. The home is dressed with a traditional thatched roof and evokes the feel of a quintessential country property both inside and out.
The annex is an important addition that offers quality accommodation finished to a high standard arranged over two floors. On the ground floor is a reception room with a small utility just off it, along with a wet room, and a further reception room which is currently used as a workshop/studio. The first floor is arranged with an open plan bedroom with feature wood burner and a timber and glazed balcony with views across the neighbouring countryside. This provides ideal lodgings for weekend guests and is currently run as a successful B&B.
There is also a 2 room studio currently used as a home office.
