Brovey Lair was built in the early 1970s and completely refurbished by the current owners in approximately 2004 to create an open plan, airy, contemporary house with income earning potential. The current owners moved from London for a lifestyle change and set up a gourmet fish and seafood restaurant with bedroom accommodation for their guests. In 2010 The Good Food Guide gave it their annual Best Fish restaurant in Britain award and it has been Michelin recommended since 2005.
Brovey Lair extends to over 5,200ft² and is set in gardens of just under two acres. The principal rooms have
a southern aspect overlooking a swimming pool and gardens.
The reception hall has a glass and aluminium clad staircase with a water fountain beyond cascading from a ceramic monolith and four blue illuminated globes. Off the hall is a family room, two double bedrooms, shower room, utility room and cloakroom. Double glazed doors lead to the dining room with a conservatory extension and open plan kitchen area, with a central cooking bar with Corian worktop and a Japanese tepan grill with powered extractor chimney.
On the first floor is a 35' x 19' open plan, south facing, sitting room with ambient lighting. There are two
double bedrooms with en-suite bath/shower rooms; the bathroom with access to a south facing balcony.
A single story annex with a southern aspect provides two further large double bedrooms with en-suite facilities.
