Named after King George III in the 18th Century, The Little George is a wonderful Grade II Listed building noted for its special architectural and historical interest. Originally, the building was a traditional traveller s inn with stables. However, after a large fire at the turn of the 19th Century, the inn was rebuilt in 1905 and later transformed into a pub where accommodation was no longer needed. Therefore, the old flats upstairs became obsolete and vacant. Local builders have since refurbished The Little George with a thriving Italian Restaurant on the ground floor and five beautiful apartments over the first and second floors. The apartments have been finished to an exceptionally high standard, whilst retaining many of the unique original architecture, they have a modern and contemporary feel to them.
