Rodmarton is a small village between Tetbury and Cirencester. The village has a strong community centred on the primary school, village hall and parish church. Tetbury is approximately 5 miles away with a more comprehensive range of amenities, including two supermarkets, butcher, baker, cheese shop, delicatessen, post office, weekly market, friendly pubs, cafes and restaurants. The M4 and M5 motorways are within easy reach for travel throughout the UK with good connections to Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff and London. Mainline train stations can be found at Kemble (approximately 4 miles), Stroud, Bristol and Chippenham all with direct services to London Paddington. The area is also served well by good state and independent schools.
St Peter's Close is a small development of former agricultural buildings used to accommodate the village forge. Four of the former buildings were converted whilst three new detached houses were added during the development.
The Old Forge is a single storey period building constructed of natural stone elevations in a traditional style. The spacious entrance hall with built-in cupboards leads to the double aspect sitting room with feature fireplace and vaulted ceiling. The kitchen has built-in base and wall mounted units and a door to the inner hall. Here there are two bedrooms and a bathroom, as well as the loft hatch which features a drop down ladder to access the attic room with hand basin and WC. Subject to normal consents this space has considerable potential.
The Old Forge has established gardens to the front and side which are planted with a variety of specimen trees and to the rear is an enclosed courtyard garden.
The property also benefits from a single garage in a nearby block with parking to the side.
