The Cathedral City of Exeter and Devon's County Town, is some 15 miles to the west with excellent shopping facilities, theatres, main line rail link to London (Paddington), M5 access and international airport.

Directions.
From the top of the High Street, continue north on Vicarage Road, passing the Radway (Scott) Cinema on the left hand side. Follow the road for about 0.2 mile where Southcombe will be found on the right, just opposite the turning to Elysian Fields.
