Dormansland has a good range of local amenities including church, public houses and village store/post office with a wider range in Lingfield. Commuter services run from Dormans station or Lingfield to London Bridge/Victoria. The A22 is readily accessible, providing access to the M25 at Godstone. Gatwick is about 12 miles. Golf is at Lingfield and Chartham Park and horse racing at Lingfield Park. There are more extensive shopping and sporting facilities in nearby East Grinstead and Edenbridge. There is a wide selection of excellent schools in the area in both state and independent sectors, including a primary school in the village.
