PROPERTY
Having been substantially refurbished and extended by the current owners, this home offers modern living over a single floor. Enclosed by beautiful, south facing gardens and offering magnificent views over the neighbouring countryside and out to sea.
A walled, gravel drive leads up to the house. There is an oversized (15'9 x 14'10) garage with plenty of space for a workshop behind its electric roller door.
Entering the house, a porch leads to an inner hall which in turn provides access to the main living area on one side and the bedrooms on the other.
The open plan living/dining room has plenty of space for entertaining with room for a large dining table and chairs in addition to the living room area. Your eye is immediately drawn to the south facing window and patio doors which allow plenty of natural light while providing great views out.
A newly installed kitchen and utility area has a range of light grey handleless base and wall mounted cabinetry with a granite worktop. There is an integral Bosch double oven with plate warming drawer, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and ceramic hob. The views from the kitchen sink are superb! A breakfast peninsula provides somewhere to sit with your morning coffee. There is plenty of storage space and worktop area for preparing even the largest meals.
To the far end of the kitchen is a utility area with space for a stackable washing machine and tumble dryer and additional matching cabinets.
A glazed door leads out to a patio area with raised planting beds for a kitchen garden to the side of the house.
To the opposite end of the house there are three double bedrooms, the two largest having windows overlooking the garden. There is a modern family bathroom with separate walk in shower and an additional cloak room.
The home and drive are located at the north of the plot creating a large, private, south facing garden. There is a patio outside the living room with space for dining al-fresco. A few steps lead down to the lawn which slopes gently away from the house. The garden has a number of mature plants and trees all of which have been cultivated for privacy while keeping the seaward views exposed. For keen gardeners there is space for a greenhouse and garden / potting shed tucked away to one side of the plot.
This is a superb home which should certainly be seen in person to be appreciated. The views cannot be understated and aren’t properly represented through the lens of a camera. The whole of St. Michael’s Mount and most of Penzance Bay can be seen from the patio.
For anyone looking for a home in a peaceful and inspiring location, this house should definitely be considered.
