As we welcome in the New Year thoughts turn to 2018 goals, with many deciding this will be the year to move to a new home. This typically raises the question: When is the best time to put my house on the market?
Traditionally many wait until the spring to start thinking about putting their house on the market, with the weather turning warmer and the days getting longer, however this could be too late. Whilst there is no right time to put your house on the market, we start to see a clear uplift in interest from buyers at the beginning of March. Our figures show a 24% increase in traffic to our website* and a 20% increase in Rightmove enquiries** during this time. So if you are thinking of selling in 2018, we suggest you consider getting your property valued in January or February to ensure you are on the market in time for this crucial period.
If you would like to discuss this further or if you would like a free market appraisal of your property please don’t hesitate to contact your local office today.
Don’t forget – we are also showcasing our properties at the Country Living Spring Fair, taking place at Alexandra Palace, London from 26th -29th April. With over 17,000 visitors over the 4 days it’s a great way to have your property visible to people considering moving out of London.
