THE AGENTS SAYS...
The Old Coach House is currently arranged in the fashion of
two apartments, with kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms and
living space on both floors. There is internal and external
access to the first floor. On the ground floor is a large,
square sitting room with fireplace, which opens into the
conservatory. The rest of this floor is occupied by a large
bedroom with en-suite bathroom and a small, central
kitchen, both of which open out to the gravel seating area
and garden at the rear. Stairs rise from the sitting room to
the first floor and into a large, bright study area. This leads
through to a central corridor, off which are two bedrooms
and a bathroom, and at the far end a good-sized kitchen
diner (which also has access from the external staircase).
Outside a shared driveway leads to plentiful off-road
parking at the side/ rear of the property. Behind this is the
large lawned garden, dotted with trees and shrubs. There
is also a lawned area alongside the conservatory.

SURROUNDING AREAS
Chicklade is a pretty Wiltshire village and civil parish,
with a friendly and welcoming community, located on the
edge of the Nadder Valley. The area has beautiful countryside walks and is ideally situated for commuters
travelling either east-west on the A303 or north-south on
the A350. The nearby village of Hindon has two well
regarded public houses, a pre-school nursery, primary
school, doctor’s surgery, post office and community shop.
Tisbury (5 miles) benefits from a railway station on the
main line between Exeter and London Waterloo (1 h 45
min) and has an excellent range of facilities including a
Co-operative supermarket and several independent
retailers. Further afield is Warminster (9 miles) which has
a station on the main line to Bath and Bristol (c. 50 min),
large supermarkets, and independent retailers.
Equidistant is the historic market town of Shaftesbury
which also offers large supermarkets, independent
retailers, pubs, restaurants, hospital, dentist, opticians,
public swimming pool, art centre, sought-after hotel and
a comprehensive range of recreational clubs. The area is
also very popular because of the excellent selection of
schools at all levels. There are popular primary schools in
the local villages, Salisbury has retained its grammar
schools, and both Gillingham and Shaftesbury have wellregarded state schools. Public schools in the area include Shaftesbury, Port Regis, Hazlegrove, Dauntseys,
Bryanston, Sandroyd, Canford and Sherborne. Salisbury
has the Cathedral School, Leehurst Swan, Chafyn Grove,
and Godolphin.
