The property is a short walk from the beautiful Maenporth Beach which has a café and offers various water sports activities. Opposite the beach is an award winning restaurant and bar. Coastal walks meander along the cliffs and coves, whilst the Rivers Fal and Helford offer some of the most attractive sailing in the country. There are golf courses at Falmouth and Budock Vean. Mawnan Smith is approximately 1½ miles away and offers excellent local amenities including a surgery. There is a wider range of facilities at Falmouth, with an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants and bars. The county city of Truro lies around 13 miles to the north. There is a branch railway line at Falmouth and a main line station at Truro. Scheduled flights operate from Newquay Airport to London and several other cities in the UK and Europe.

From Truro follow all signs for Falmouth along the A39. Just before reaching Falmouth at the Hillhead roundabout, take the second exit on to Union Road.
