Sidmouth is East Devon’s premier coastal resort and is well known for its Regency architecture and dramatic coastline. The town itself has many beautiful parks and walks and a bustling shopping centre with a great variety of independent shops as well as the usual multiples. There is also an out of town Waitrose store, cinema, theatre and a range of sporting facilities including tennis courts, croquet lawn, indoor swimming pool and cricket pitch overlooking the sea.

The bust market town of Honiton is approximately 9 miles away which has a mainline rail link to London Waterloo and the Cathedral City of Exeter is some 17 miles to the West and has an excellent shopping centre, a mainline rail link to London Paddington, international airport and M5 access.

Bowd is located on the A3052 between the villages of Newton Poppleford and Sidford. Travelling East from Newton Poppleford, continue for about a mile out of the village and after reaching the top of the hill and then passing a layby on your left, Burrow Farm Cottage is the third driveway on your left hand side.

There is a small area near the property where Japanese Knotweed was found. This is now under a management plan with the final inspection due in October 2020.
