The Manor Mill operates as a successful and established holiday letting business. The clients currently let out Manor Mill House as a large holiday let. The apartments and cottage are well designed, equipped and furnished to provide a high standard of accommodation.
Previously the property had a change of use for Dippers Leat, Virginia and Woodyvale to be incorporated as ancillary accommodation to the dwelling known as Manor Mill. Planning reference 09/14/0007.
The present owners have built up the business since 2014 and promote the holiday letting cottages and apartment with an agent and via internet advertising through the propertys website www.manormill.co.uk. Trading information can be provided to bona fide purchasers.
The Manor Mill is believed to date back to the 17th Century and occupies the southern side of a wooded valley beside the River Tone. The water mill has been sympathetically converted and restored to provide a range of self-contained holiday letting cottages and apartments which all overlook the River Tone.
The main house retains many period features of considerable charm including open fireplaces and exposed, natural stone walls.
The main house is independent to the letting accommodation, providing a good degree of privacy to the owners with a secluded, private garden. The Manor Mill is set within mature gardens and grounds of approximately 3½ acres including barbecue area and childrens adventure playground. There is also a heated indoor swimming pool with sun terrace.
There is a recently built detached timber art studio next to the river which could easily be converted into a number of uses such as an extra letting unit, conference room, tea rooms or games room subject to gaining the relevant planning consents. The house is approached via a quiet lane down to a gravel drive in front of the property. There is also a second access onto the highway, leading to the visitors car park and owners double garage, which is set slightly away from the complex itself.
All cottages have been converted to a high standard and include such features as exposed beams and natural stone walls. The cottages are each self-contained and furnished in an individual style. Each kitchen is equipped with a range of modern base and wall cupboards, electric cookers, microwave ovens and fridge/freezers.
All cottages have a flat screen televisions and DVD players. They have oil fired central heating with one radiator in each of the sitting rooms.
