Fornham St Genevieve originates from pre 1086; the history of Fornham Park involved the scene of the Battle of Fornham in 1173. Robert Whitehand Earl of Leicester put up his final stand against the forces of Henry II near the church and was subsequently captured and taken prisoner.
Fornham St Genevieve was formed from the Fornham Hall estate, designed by Capability Brown. The Park, within which the Lodges are set, comprising 200 acres of undulating parkland and lakes, deciduous trees and is a haven for wildlife.
A tarmac drive, accessed through electric gates, leads to the Lodges. Dogs are allowed on site. There is a Park Warden.
Planning permission allows useage between 1st January and 31st December. Owners must produce evidence of a principal main residence. The Park is owned and managed by Exclusive Luxury Lodges Ltd. (ELL) and there is a fully managed 12 month rental programme currently available through Hoseasons, although this network is due to be expanded.
